ESCI is a new database within Clarivate Analytics, a Thomson Reuters spin-off which has been in charge of the journal selection process since 2016. Thus, BrewingScience has reached the preliminary stage to receiving the Thomson Reuters Impact Factor, which is highly sought after in the scientific community, and has been represented in the Web of Science since the first edition of 2017, when coverage begun.
