Highly qualified employees ensure competitive edge

As an international manufacturer of filling and packaging equipment for the beverage, food, and non-food sectors, KHS pursues its vision of being ’First Choice in Technology and Service’. Anke Fischer, head of Finance, Human Resources, and IT at KHS: "Because highly qualified employees are essential in being and remaining the first choice for our customers around the globe, we pay special attention to developing young talent."

For this reason, the number of apprenticeships per year at KHS was increased by 25% just a few years ago. Currently 50 high school graduates per year receive apprenticeship positions as mechatronics engineers, industrial mechanics, machining mechanics, industrial clerks, and qualified mechanical engineers. At present, KHS has 200 trainees at its five locations in Germany.

KHS establishes and intensifies contacts with schools and universities through targeted communication measures. In Germany alone, the company employs about 70 students, for instance, who are completing their internships, writing their theses, or working as student interns.

The company currently offers the opportunity to participate in the dual work-study program in the fields of machine engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, industrial service management, industrial engineering, and business administration.

Experience shows that those who have completed the dual work-study program at KHS remain loyal to the company. To date, the company has employed all graduates who have then pursued a career as a specialist or in management.

With five company locations in Germany and plants in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, India, and China in addition to 40 service and sales locations, KHS is present on all continents and has the international flair preferred in particular by young employees.
