Modern technology and equipment from new premises

In autumn 2003, Meura, a mechanical engineering company rich in tradition, moved to new premises in Péruwelz in West Belgium, near the French border. "Brauwelt" took the opportunity of speaking to Michel Genart, Managing Director, about the commercial development of the company, about its technical-technological business plan and the very wide range of equipment that Meura offers to the brewing sector.

The history of Meura stretches back to 1845, the year Jean Baptiste Meura founded the company in Tournai, Belgium. His son, Philippe Meura Sen. (1850 - 1921) introduced the first mash filter that he developed in 1901. This had advantages in terms of speed and yield compared to lauter tuns. By 1946, the company had over 600 in staff. ...
