International Trends in Brewing | The symposium will be held in 2023 for the 15th time and will also be returning to the Technology Campus in Ghent. Since the last Trends in Brewing, which took place in Leuven and was subject to protective measures due to the Corona pandemic, the world has changed dramatically. “Brewing in a Challenging World” is the motto of the event and perfectly captures the current political and economic situation in the world.

Kegstar continue partnership | In January, Kegstar and the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) have announced a three-year partnership on BeerX. The event, set to take place on the 15th and 16th of March 2023 at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, is one of the biggest trade events in the UK for beer and brewing businesses.

Conference | This year’s meeting of the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC) will take place in Pittsburg, PA, USA from June 4-6. Abstract Submissions are open now! Deadline next week: February 10, 2023.

International trade fair duo | The Italian trade fair Beer&Food Attraction will take place at the Rimini Expo Centre, Italy, from 19–22 February 2023, together with BBTech expo. The show presents a comprehensive national and international offer of beers, beverages, food and trends for the out-of-home (OOH) sector.

Scientific exchange | Lectures, presentations, poster sessions: Scientific exchange is traditionally the focus of the international filtration show Filtech, which will take place at the Cologne Exhibition Center from 14–16 February 2023. Numerous research institutes stand with their contributions for a program that guarantees valuable information from all areas of the industry.

Come together | The next EBC symposium will be held from 8–10 October 2023 at Stiegl Brewery in Salzburg, Austria! This was the outcome of deliberations set in motion a few months ago when the Italian Brewers Association Assobirra announced that they would not be able to host the meeting in Rome, as had been originally planned.

International meet-up | The next edition of the Brewers Forum will take place on 21–23 May 2023 in Prague, Czech Republic. Once again, the global community will unite discussing trending issues in the brewing industry and networking while cheering around a glass of beer.

CfA | The 15th edition of the International Malting and Brewing Symposium ‘Trends in Brewing’, will take place from April 2 to April 6 2023 at the KU Leuven, Campus Ghent, situated near the renowned historical city centre of Ghent in Belgium.

Sustainability and other trends | The VLB International Brewing Web Conference is just around the corner now: It is about to take place online from 7 to 8 December 2022.

China | Given the current pandemic situation in Guangzhou, the organizers of China Brew & Beverage have decided to postpone the CBB 2022, which was originally scheduled to be held in the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou from November 23 to 26, 2022. A new date is still to be announced.
